Local sessions dedicated to finding meaningful work

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati (DSAGC) is hosting a six-week “Meaningful Employment Series,” beginning Sept. 17.

These workshops are geared towards both parents/caregivers and self-advocates to help empower them to find paid jobs or consistent volunteer roles in the community. Speakers include:

  • Week 1: Bob Pautke, Founder and President of SOAR with Purpose and the President of Job Search Focus Group in Cincinnati
  • Week 2 and Week 3: Ryan Niemiec, the Education Director for the Via Institute on Character
  • Week 4: A job search consultant
  • Week 5 and Week 6: Guest speakers discussing self-advocacy and being a good employee from an employer’s perspective
